Trigger Finger

"Trigger finger" refers to a cosmetic issue affecting the fingers, characterized by a bow-like appearance of the finger joints when extended, resembling a slingshot. Typically, this condition results from injury or deformity of the soft tissue in the finger joints.

Numerous factors contribute to the occurrence of trigger finger problems. Here are some prevalent reasons:

  • Congenital issues
  • Arthritis
  • Injury or damage
  • Tendon issues

Degradation of the Trigger-Finger can result in a cascade of severe repercussions:

  • Daily Challenges: Engaging in everyday activities like fastening clothes or utilizing tools may present increased difficulty.
  • Joint discomfort: Finger joints may experience stiffness or discomfort, particularly in the early morning or after prolonged inactivity.
  • Reduced hand function: Hand strength and dexterity may be impacted, leading to an overall decrease in hand function.
