Scoliosis
Scoliosis, also referred to as scoliosis, is a lateral curvature of the spine from its usual straight alignment. Essentially, the spine loses its straightness and curves to one side, creating a "C" or "S" shape.
Numerous factors can contribute to scoliosis issues. Here are some prevalent causes:
- Hereditary Scoliosis
- Prolonged poor posture
- Excessive use of one side of the body
Exacerbation of scoliosis can result in several severe consequences:
- Changes in appearance: A deteriorating curve could lead to alterations in your physical appearance, like uneven shoulders or hips, or a protruding chest.
- Limitations in daily activities can impact the patient's quality of life due to pain, restricted mobility, and changes in body shape, potentially resulting in psychological issues like anxiety and depression.
